OUR STORY

Our Story -
A Cook Islands Project, Built with Purpose

A place created with heart

A Simple Idea
Became Something Special

Back in 2007, our ten-year plan had one rule: not corporate, not New Zealand. We wanted a complete change — something meaningful, grounded, and deeply connected to a place we could truly call home.

That idea took root slowly, then grew into something we hadn't quite imagined at the start: a small, quietly luxurious retreat on Rarotonga's sunset coast, built around privacy, simplicity, and a genuine respect for this island and everything it offers.

Seven villas, three villa types, one unhurried rhythm.  Choose from beachfront, garden, or grand garden villa options — each offering a distinct sense of place while sharing the same understated elegance and ease.

Tranquillity Meets Sustainability

Conserve, preserve, respect and protect

LOCALLY OWNED - LOVINGLY OPERATED

Our Approach to Sustainability

We embrace and encourage "reuse, repurpose and recycle".  Being in such a remote place in the Pacific, it makes good sense to make the most of what we have.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

LED lighting, solar hot water, high rated appliances, and natural insulation.

WATER CONSERVATION

Multi-stage filtration, solar hot water, and eco-friendly pool system.

BIODIVERSITY

700+ climate-adapted plants, organic gardening, and storm-resilient design.

WASTE &   RECYCLING

5-bin separation, composting worms, and organic waste shared with the community.

How You Can Help

Conserve, preserve, respect and protect

LIMIT WATER USE

Have one quick shower a day, reduce your personal laundry washing where possible, short rinsing off after beach visits, turn off all taps properly.

SWITCH IT OFF

Turn off all electrical items such as lights, fans, a/c when leaving the villa.

COMPACT RECYCLING

Squeeze your plastic bottles then tighten the cap before placing in the recycling bin.

GETTING AROUND

Try catching a bus or hiring an e-bike to get around the island.
